The epiluminescence mole mapping, or dermatoscopy, is a non-invasive diagnostic examination that allows the dermatologist to examine skin lesions and moles in detail at a higher magnification than possible with the naked eye.
The FOTOFINDER epiluminescence is an advanced digital videodermatoscopy system for analyzing moles and skin lesions, which uses a special high-definition video camera to acquire highly magnified digital images. The computerized system allows detailed observation of skin structures not visible to the naked eye, stores images, and compares them over time to monitor any changes and diagnose early modifications that could indicate melanoma or other skin conditions.
