The high-power focused shock waves with ultrasound or X-ray guidance are acoustic waves of very short duration and high pressure that generate a mechanical-biological action directly on the tissues.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

There are no particular contraindications, however, it is advisable to avoid treatment in the following cases:

Active neoplasms and/or previous neoplasms at the treatment site;
Acute infections of soft tissues or bones at the treatment site;
Presence of an incompatible cardiac pacemaker;
Uncontrolled coagulation disorders;
Severe cardiovascular diseases;
Presence of growth cartilage at the treatment site;
Pregnancy (presence of the fetus in the treatment area)
