The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the human body and consists of 1 capsuloligamentous system, 5 joints and 26 muscles.

DIAGNOSIS
The diagnosis is made through a specialist examination and specific clinical tests that evaluate:
- Pain origin and location
- Flexibility, joint range of motion and stability
- Muscular strength
- Coordination
- Postural patterns
- Residual shoulder function
- Rotator cuff integrity
The diagnostic hypothesis is completed with specific instrumental examinations such as X-rays, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), MR arthrography, CT, CT arthrography, bone scintigraphy, and electromyography (EMG)
