HIP ARTHRITIS

Hip arthritis, or coxarthrosis, is a chronic degenerative disease of the hip joint that causes wear of the articular cartilage, leading to pain, stiffness, and limitation of movement. This condition is more frequently found in elderly people, but it can also affect other age groups when it results from trauma, congenital malformations, or other inflammatory conditions.

CAUSES
The onset of the condition involves wear of the articular cartilage, which leads to a reduction in joint space width. During this process, which lasts from several months to several years, wear particles are released into the joint, generating inflammation that causes pain, limping affecting normal walking, and can also lead to deformation of the joint itself.

The arthritic disease is characterized by a continuous increase in joint pain and increased limitation of mobility. When the joint becomes worn or deformed, it will no longer allow normal movements, making even daily activities difficult, such as sitting down or standing up, getting dressed, climbing or descending stairs, etc.
