Memphis Depay, the Olympique Lyonnais player, underwent surgery today by Prof. Pier Paolo Mariani for the cruciate ligament of his left knee.
The Dutch forward himself expressed his desire to be transferred to Villa Stuart for the operation, as announced by Rudi Garcia during a press conference:
“The choice was made by Memphis and our medical team. I believe Memphis listened to the advice of his teammates who had surgery in France, here in Lyon, and in the United States, and he made the right choice.”
