Dr. Santucci is a neurologist and neurosurgeon. He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1976 and specialized at the same university in Neurology and Psychiatry in 1979 and in Neurosurgery in 1983.
In 1999, he was appointed Honorary Academician by the General Council of the Norman Academy.
In 2002, he was appointed Expert for the work of the Commissions by the CSM and is a permanent consultant for the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rome, where he collaborates with the Deputy Prosecutors of the Professional Faults Pool.
In 2006, he was appointed Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, and in the same year, he was appointed a member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana and a member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the Pietro Paci Foundation.
In 2007, he was appointed Expert of the Higher Health Council by the Minister of Health.
In 2008, he was appointed a member of the Study Group on “Humanization in the Hospital.”
In 2010, he was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the San Raffaele Telematic University of Rome, in the same year he was appointed Representative within the Assembly of Founding Members of the Foundation of the University of L’Aquila, and he was also appointed a member of the Ethics Committee of IDI – IRCCS and San Carlo Hospital.
In 2013, he was appointed a member of the Ethics Committee of the IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana.
In 2014, he was appointed a member of the CTS of the IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana.
In 2014, he was appointed Risk Manager of San Raffaele S.p.A and in 2015, he was appointed a member of the Regional Technical Working Group for drafting the document on the reorganization of the Regional Rehabilitation Network.
In 2017, he was appointed Professor of Sports Medicine for the degree course in Motor Sciences at the San Raffaele Telematic University SpA.
He is the author of 102 scientific works published in Italian and foreign journals.
