Dr. Sergio Timpone

Dr. Sergio Timpone graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1986 from the University of Palermo, where he then specialized in Internal Medicine in 1991.

From 1992 to 1997, he was a Level I Medical Director of the Internal Medicine Department at S. Cimino Hospital in Termini Imerese (PA). From 1997 to 2003, he was a Level I Medical Director of the Emergency Medicine Department and Training Manager at San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital in Rome.

From 2003 to 2008, he was a Level I Medical Director and Head of the Emergency Medicine Department at

Policlinico Casilino in Rome, and simultaneously, in 2006, he continued his academic training with a specialization in Cardiology at the University of L’Aquila.

From 2000 to 2013, he was an Emergency Physician with SIMEU (Italian Society of Emergency Medicine).

In 2008, he became Director of the Complex Emergency Department and Short Stay Observation Unit and Head of the Emergency Department for the ASL of Frosinone.

At the Hospital Medical School of Rome, he obtained a Two-Year Master’s in “Healthcare Economics and Management,” and in 2011 at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza,’ he obtained a Level II Master’s in “Management and Innovation in Healthcare Organizations.”

In 2017, he became Director of the Emergency Department Unit within the Complex Emergency Department and Short Stay Observation Unit at San Giovanni Calibita Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Rome.

He is a founding member of SIMEDET and currently serves on the national board of directors of SIMEDET. He conducts his private practice in Rome at Villa Stuart Private Healthcare Facility.
