Dr. Roberto Padua graduated in Medicine and Surgery on February 27, 1991 from the University of Perugia with a grade of 109/110, followed by professional qualification in April 1991.
On January 27, 1997, he obtained his specialist diploma in Orthopedics and Traumatology from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome with a grade of 50/50 summa cum laude.
In May 1998, he founded G.L.O.B.E. (Working Group for Evidence-Based Orthopedics), of which he is a founding member.
Since the 2006-2007 academic year, he has served as a lecturer at the Sports Medicine specialization school at Sapienza University of Rome.
Since 2007, he has been a project researcher at the Don Gnocchi Foundation in Rome with two ongoing research projects.
Since 2008, he has been a researcher for the Nicola’s Foundation in Arezzo.
At ASL RmA, he was responsible for the “Degenerative Shoulder Pathology” module.
He has performed 1,006 orthopedic procedures as the primary surgeon. Specifically, he has performed 381 knee arthroscopies (including 92 ACL reconstructions), 317 major trauma procedures, 67 prosthetic procedures (hip, knee, and shoulder), 107 shoulder arthroscopies (rotator cuff tears, joint instability, and others), and 134 general orthopedic procedures such as neurolysis, corrective osteotomies, and others.
