Dr. Marina Polacco obtained her Medical Degree from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome and specialized in Cardiovascular Diseases, with honors, at the University of Rome – La Sapienza. Winner of the II level Master’s degree in “Diagnostic Imaging Cardiology” in 2011 at the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, she currently collaborates with La Sapienza University of Rome as a PhD candidate in “Biomedical Technologies in Clinical Medicine” at the Department of Cardiovascular, Nephrological, Anesthesiological and Geriatric Sciences of the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome.
On the scientific level, she is involved in several prospective Clinical Trials in collaboration with the University of Rome – La Sapienza. She has published several scientific papers in National and International journals.
Her clinical experience is mainly focused on the Prevention and Clinical-Instrumental Management of essential and secondary Arterial Hypertension, and Ischemic Heart Disease, but her fields of interest extend to all areas of Cardiology (interpretation of 24-hour ECG and Blood Pressure Holter, stress ECG, Color Doppler Echocardiogram, Bubble test, Valvular Heart Diseases, clinical management of major cardiac arrhythmias).
She is currently the Head of the Arterial Hypertension Center at Villa Stuart.
