Dr. Gaetano Lanzetta is a surgeon specializing in oncology.
He obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome La Sapienza, where he also completed his specialization in Oncology. He was awarded two scholarships, one at Uppsala University in Sweden and one at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
He worked at INI – Italian Neurotraumatological Institute as Deputy Medical Director.
In 2009 he was Professor at the Specialization School in Oncology at La Sapienza and also participated as a lecturer in Master’s programs at various universities, including: Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, Antea and Tor Vergata.
In 2010 he won an AIOM scholarship: Master and Back Project – Moffitt Cancer Center – Florida.
From 2002 to 2010 he was Professor in the degree course in Visceral Disabilities at the Neuromed Institute – IRCCS.
He organizes clinical, research and educational work within the Oncology Department and Day Hospital.
His teaching focuses on Experimental Oncology, Pharmacology, and Pain Therapy.
He has participated in numerous conferences as a speaker and moderator.
He is the author of 70 publications, and his research is primarily focused on topics concerning Oncology and its clinical treatments.
