Dr. Barbora Tirpakova obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Neurosurgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.
Born in Cadca, Slovakia, in 1975, after completing her scientific high school diploma, she graduated in Medicine and Surgery with a thesis on “Stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus in the treatment of advanced Parkinson’s disease”.
In 2006, she graduated with honors from the School of Specialization in Neurosurgery, with the dissertation “Experimental study on laser-assisted microvascular bypass”. She continued her training at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome where, at the Institute of Neurosurgery, she obtained a PhD in Neuroscience with the thesis “Evaluation of gene expression profiles of ruptured and intact intracranial aneurysms using DNA microarray technique”.
She carries out her activities at the Institute of Neurosurgery of the Gemelli Polyclinic, Neurovascular Section, and at the Private Nursing Home Villa Stuart.
At Villa Stuart Medical Center, she is responsible for the “Acute Back Pain” Emergency Service
