Dr. Angelo Pompucci

Specialist in neurosurgery and spinal pathologies

Dr. Angelo Pompucci, born in 1966, graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome in 1992 and specialized in Neurosurgery in 1998 with the highest honors.
Over the years, he has dedicated particular attention to surgical training, continuously participating in surgical technique masters throughout Europe. He has performed over 2,450 cranial and spinal neurosurgery procedures.
In recent years, he has specialized in the treatment of spinal pathologies, both degenerative and oncological (extradural and intradural lesions – extra- and intramedullary), while continuing cranial neurosurgical training. In this regard, particular interest has been dedicated to skull base surgery and the most modern neurocranium reconstruction techniques.

He is a lecturer in Neurotraumatology in the Neurosurgery Specialization course and a lecturer in Neurosurgery in the three-year degree course in Neurophysiopathology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome.

He is a member of the Italian Society of Neurosurgery (SINch), the Italian Skull Base Society (SIB), the Italian Association of Neuro-Oncology (AINO), and Associate to American Organization Spine International (AOSpine).
