Dr. Angela Parrella

Specialist in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging

Dr. Angela Parrella, born on July 10, 1968, graduated with honors from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic, in Rome, in 1993 and specialized in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at the Institute of Radiology of the same University in 1997.

From 1992 to 1996, she worked as part of a team on an experimental multicenter study for the CNR, for the “characterization of focal hepatic lesions through integrated US, MR and CT imaging,” laying the foundations for differential diagnosis between benign and malignant hepatic lesions.

From 1997 to 2006, she served as Chief Medical Radiologist at the Institute of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging of the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic, providing clinical services and engaging in multiple Scientific Research and University Teaching activities. In 2001, she won the MURST Young Researchers competition for a multicenter research project on the study of integrated CT, MR and US imaging in Crohn’s disease.

From 2006 to 2008, she served at the Casilino Polyclinic as a Medical Radiologist.

Currently, Dr. Angela Parrella serves as an M.D. Specialist in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging at Villa Stuart Medical Center, FIFA Center of Excellence, thanks to her experience in Sports, Traumatological and Oncological Musculoskeletal Diagnostics; she is a Consultant for public and private facilities in Diagnostic Imaging.

Dr. Parrella is an expert, also by virtue of her extensive experience at the Gemelli Polyclinic, in integrated imaging in Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance and Ultrasound with Color Doppler Ultrasound in Internal Medicine and Breast pathology, of which she has been Department Head since 2008 at the Institute of Radiology of Villa Stuart Medical Center.
