Born in Raychikhinsk, Russia, on March 28, 1959.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Blagoveshchensk, Russia, in 1982 and from the State University of Milan, Italy, in 1993, where he also obtained his professional qualification.
Dr. Alexander Kirienko, Orthopedic Surgeon, has been practicing in Italy since 1992, at Villa Stuart clinic (Rome), San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, the “Humanitas” Clinical Institute in Rozzano (Milan), and Galeazzi Hospital in Bruzzano (Milan).
He specialized in the application of the Ilizarov method, particularly in the field of the most challenging congenital foot deformities, and from 1988 to 1992, he was the head of this department.
His direct experience was formed by working in Russia in close contact with Professor Ilizarov (inventor of the method), where he was able to specialize in applying his technique to several pathologies of the musculoskeletal system.
