On November 2, 2024, Fabio Di Giannantonio, rider for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team in the MotoGP World Championship, underwent a capsuloplasty on his left shoulder at the Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome.
The rider had suffered a shoulder dislocation following a fall on August 16 during practice for the Austrian Grand Prix.
The procedure, performed using an arthroscopic technique by Professor Alessandro Castagna, assisted by Dr. Enrico Ceccarelli, aimed to stabilize the joint and was perfectly successful.
Di Giannantonio was discharged the following day to begin his recovery and rehabilitation process.
