On January 13, Nicolò Zaniolo, AS Roma player, underwent ACL surgery at Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome.
The player had suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee, associated with a lateral meniscus tear, during the match against Juventus played the previous day.
The surgery, performed by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani, involved autologous reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament and suturing of the meniscal tear. The operation was technically successful and Zaniolo began the rehabilitation process the following day.
