In April 2019, Marco Van Ginkel, the Dutch midfielder, entrusted Professor Pier Paolo Mariani at Villa Stuart Clinic to undergo revision surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee.
The footballer, following previous surgeries and complex issues with the same knee, underwent a two-stage surgical process, followed by Professor Mariani and the Clinic’s medical staff.
After a long recovery process, Van Ginkel returned to the pitch in January 2021, 983 days after his previous appearance in an official match.
