On August 5, Gianluca Scamacca, striker for Atalanta and the Italian National Team, underwent surgery at Villa Stuart Private Clinic in Rome.
The footballer had suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee the previous day, during the friendly match between Parma and Atalanta.
The arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery, performed by Professor Pier Paolo Mariani, was perfectly successful. Scamacca has therefore immediately begun the recovery and rehabilitation program.
