On January 24, 2020, Carolina Kostner underwent left hip surgery at Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome.
The operation, performed by Professor Raul Zini, became necessary due to persistent hip problems that had forced the figure skating champion to stop training on the ice.
After the surgery, Kostner began the rehabilitation process with the goal of recovering full functionality and returning to the ice.
